Leaving, or getting data back

Can we leave with our data, and get it back after a mistake?

An admin (someone with full authority over a space) can copy that space's files to a Git repository the admin picks (an outside store of files and their history). Personal and assistant folders go too unless excluded first, and anyone able to open that copy can read them.

That copy leaves behind nested spaces, accounts, passwords, permissions, secrets, conversations with AI assistants, settings and the record of who did what. So a space rebuilt from it starts with no users.

The top space cannot be bundled, but your host (whoever installs and runs your AIEUS) can export any other space as a bundle to keep private: its files and full database, accounts and conversations included.

The bundle can be reopened without any AIEUS service or subscription, but that takes technical work and returns your data rather than a working AIEUS, minus past file versions.

Ask your host to switch on daily backups. Each one pauses every space for a varying time and copies it all, keys included, to one cloud storage service once your top space's admin has saved a location there. Then ask your host to confirm one ran, because a saved destination is not proof and some protected installations are skipped whatever their settings say. AIEUS never deletes old copies automatically.

Only your host can restore a backup. A restore rewinds every space to that moment at once, losing anything changed since.

If someone deletes a file in the browser, it cannot be undone there, but an admin's Git copy, if kept, or your host's server history may still hold it.
