The terms you build on
What do the licence terms let us do, and what stays ours?
The terms let your firm use AIEUS in its own business, and build and run apps on it, paid ones too, if each does a defined job for its users.
Read the detailed terms before offering others AIEUS commercially as a general platform for building and running their own apps, AI agents or workflows. That requires its own commercial licence, and any free tier of such an offer counts too.
Your firm's own data, knowledge, settings and branding sit outside the licence. Keeping them in AIEUS does not, on its own, place them under it, though running AIEUS to hold them must follow it.
Apps made for your firm without copying or changing AIEUS code are outside the licence too, but AIEUS code an app includes or inherits, and any app built by changing AIEUS code, stay under it.
Do not count on a service-level agreement (a written promise of a set level of service): none is offered today.
Artifex Systems LLC licenses AIEUS under the Business Source License 1.1, and the repository holding its code is private today.
