Getting it set up
What does setting it up involve, and who does each part?
If no one on your staff looks after IT, it helps to know which setup jobs exist and who does each. The first sits with your host: whichever person or company installs AIEUS and operates the machine it runs on.
Ask your host whether your firm's space will be the installation's top space or sit beneath another. Beneath one, the admins of every space above yours can enter it as admins; as the top, it cannot be exported as a bundle.
Next, an admin, someone with full authority over your firm's space in AIEUS, creates each person's account and privately passes on a temporary password, since AIEUS sends no invitations or email.
No one can open an account for themselves unless the space was built to let outsiders sign up. But when a space sits inside another, people from the outer space get accounts on first visit: its admins as admins, and its members as members, except when the outer space is the top one.
AIEUS's own sign-in asks only for an email and password, with no Google or similar account and no second check from a phone or security key. A forgotten password needs an admin to issue a fresh temporary one, so keep two admins who can cover each other. When no fellow admin can help, as when the top space's sole admin is signed out everywhere, recovery falls to your host, and AIEUS describes no installed way to do it.
An AIEUS update leaves alone any of its files your firm has edited, and flags those the update also changed so someone can review them.
In a space set up beneath another, an update's changes to how data is organized and to the browser screens wait until that space's admin applies them.
If an update's change to how data is organized fails, nothing reverses it automatically, and undoing it can mean your host restoring every space to a backup, losing later changes, so agree a plan beforehand.
